Here is a representative list of clients whom we have recently
assisted with the merger and acquisition process:
- A check-cashing business in Florida and California that will
sell for more than $200 million. Assisted client in assembling
the information to present to potential buyers, advised on tax
issues, and prepared the books and records for audit done by CPA
firm.
- A footwear manufacturer in the South who built a thriving business
over the years, wanted to continue operating the business, yet
reap some of the fruits of his labors. Assisted in sale of 40%
of the business to a venture capitalist for $65 million. Client
remains in control of the company as its chief executive officer.
- A real estate developer with the acquisition of an on-going
business as well as the real estate on which the business operates.
- A high net worth client with the purchase of a software processing
company. ABA performed due diligence and established tax structure
for this deal.
- Large apparel manufacturer operating in the Greater New York
with the purchase of an $18 million apparel firm in Canada. Anchin
performed due diligence and advised on the tax structure for this
deal. In previous years, assisted this client with purchase of
several apparel and textile companies in the southeastern United
States ranging in value from $20 to $100 million.
- A well-established trimmings and notions operator in New York
with the purchase of a similar operation for $20 million. Conducted
due diligence and negotiations between business owners. Also advised
client on previous acquisition.
- Growing apparel and accessory retail chain in the sale of a
minority interest to a venture capital firm to allow principals
to cash out and provide capital to grow the business.
- Acquisition of a $12 million manufacturing and wholesale sales
business in women's apparel.
- Acquisition of a women's apparel company with revenues of $20
million.
